Sister Princess (Season 1) This is the story of 12 sisters who love their brother very much. His life will change completely when he meets all of them...for the first time. Wataru Minakami and his fellow classmates had the perfect plan for their future when they would go to high school together. However, since Wataru has failed the entrance exam, this definitely complicates things. Soon after this news, his butler Jiiya informs him that he was accepted by recommendation to the Star Gazers Hill West University on Promised Island. Arriving at the port, he meets Mami and Yamada, two other students that will be attending with him. He is saved by one of his sisters Karen after almost drowning upon arrival. After meeting a few friendly faces on the island, he eventually ends up at the Welcome House where he meets his sisters who have come to live with him. Wataru's life will change with the many experiences and the bonds that he'll share with Karen, Sakuya, Hinako, Kaho, Haruka, Marie, Mamoru, Chikage, Shirayuki, Rinrin, Yotsuba, and Aria. Eventually, he will remember a promise he made long ago with a mysterious girl who is watching over him. Sister Princess RePure (Season 2) He is cool, gentle, wonderful, and the only brother we have in the world. This is the story of 12 sisters who love their brother very much... Wataru and his sisters all live in an oceanside city of modern windmills, streetcars, and an old clock tower. Most everyone lives separately from each other, but all of the sisters look forward to the days when their brother comes to visit or spend the day or night with them. From camping trips to love letters, sick days and dinner dates, and even troublesome personal situations, despite any problems that occur in their lives, their big brother being there with them is all it takes for their day to be brighter. Karen is the first sister that Wataru meets on Promised Island and is considered the heroine of the story, since she seems to speak for all of them with how much they love and care about their big brother. Knows how to play piano, is sweet, gentle, and is your all around good girl. In the anime when Wataru first arrives and almost drowns in the ocean, she comes to his rescue, and soon meet again when he hears her play the piano at school. |  |
Very energetic and always striving to do her best, the role of being a cheerleader suits Kaho very well. She always encourages both herself and everyone around her. Although a bit clumsy at times, this is a unique characteristic that makes her very adorable, as she usually brushes off a little accident with a giggle and a smile. She shows the greatest amount of enthusiasm when cheering for her big brother. Sometimes she herself needs a little bit of encouragement, especially when personal problems arise that affect her own self-esteem. Her big brother being with her at just the right time always helps to bring back her positive energy. |

Mamoru can be described as the sports girl type. Very athletic and energetic, she always looks forward to spending time with her brother, whether it be camping, running with him in sports events, going for a bicycle ride, or even teaching him how to swim. One of her signature features is jetting along in roller skates. Since she's more adapted to wearing sports related clothing, she easily becomes embarrassed when it comes to wearing a dress. |  |
Marie enjoys reading romance and adventure novels. When she travels around, her dog Michael is always with her. One of her defining qualities is the warmth and emotion she feels with natural settings such as the ocean, the wind and summer sun, and even the peaceful nature of the forest. Since she previously wasn't able to go outside due to her condition, she would imagine being at these places in her stories. When she finally met her brother, her dream was to walk along the beach in a beautiful sunset with him. Although implied as somewhat frail, being with her brother has given her strength and happiness in her life. |

Very shy and dressing elegantly, Aria is very fond of her older brother and likes soft, fluffy and sweet things. According to the creators' info, she is originally from France. Although she is very soft-spoken, her imagination and how she sees the world around her are some of the qualities that make her very adorable. In fact, in Season 1 of Sister Princess, you really see these child-like qualities when she goes to look for a lost ribbon, a gift from her brother, that she cherishes. |  |
Yotsuba can best be described as chirpy, cheerful, and full of curiosity, as she wants to know all of her brother's secrets. This little detective is never anywhere without her magnifying glass, as she's always checking things. Her signature phrase"checki" always comes up when she's investigating something very interesting. |

Sakuya has been known to keep up with fashion trends and enjoys picking out clothes for her brother. Very flirtatious and known as the sexy one of the sisters, Sakuya definitely isn't shy about her feelings towards her older brother. Although it's easy to see that she is one of the older sisters, she still on occasion acts like a child. |  |
Hinako is the youngest of the 12 sisters, and just like all of them, wants to be around her big brother when possible. She enjoys playing all sorts of games, writing cute little letters and messages, and likes storybooks, especially when Wataru is reading them to her. When she goes off to search for a missing teddy bear, even after Wataru endlessly helps her to search for him, she tells him that, "If onii-tama is with me, I don't need anything else." It really shows that even as young as she is, her playfulness expresses how much she likes her older brother. |

Haruka is the sister that represents the image of the ideal Japanese woman. She is very skilled in archery and fighting with the naginata, and practices many traditions including tea ceremonies, singing, and dancing. She looks out for her older brother and readily protects him from any impending danger. At the same time, she's a really shy person when it comes to her brother and always blushes when she is close to him. |  |
One of the most popular characters of the series, Chikage is known to be very mysterious, as you never know what she's thinking. Although she occasionally comes off as a bit eerie, overall she really cares about her brother and wants to be close to him. Tarot cards, magic, and admiring the view of the stars with her brother are some of the defining characteristics of Chikage, along with being the only sister to dress in Western style clothing. In the first season, you gradually get a sense of how she sees things around her, believing in fate and the destiny of the stars guiding her, her sisters, and her brother. |

Rinrin is the mechanical genius of the sisters and is always hard at work with her inventions. Early on, one of her creations that we meet is Mecha-Rinrin, a giant robot that usually accompanies her. She definitely has a talent for machines and anything mechanical as she makes messenger phones, a submarine, and is even in the process of creating a robot replica of herself. |  |
Shirayuki can be considered a little Miss Iron Chef, as she loves to cook and always comes up with new ideas, especially when comes to cooking for her big brother. Her specialty not surprisingly, is sweets, as it suits her personality very well. She really puts her heart into her cooking and is delighted when she makes something that her big brother really enjoys. In the anime, we notice that at first her cooking skills are initially something left to be desired, since she comes up with some strange concoctions; but becomes an amazing cook within a short period of time. |

Shirayuki ("White snow")
One thing is for certain: Shirayuki loves to cook, especially for her brother, and is always trying out new recipes for him. Refers to herself in the third-person as "Hime" (?, "Hime"?), which translates to "princess". This might be because of her name's Western variant: Snow White. Frequently ends her sentences with the phrase "desu-no." Addresses her brother as Nii-sama (shorter than Sakuya's, but polite).

Which one's older of the sisters Sakuya or Chikage? i'll go with Chikage cause she seems a little more mature and adult but Sakuya give off that vibe to sometimes. anymore opinions on this?

Agreed, but it could be so if it was their father only... because they're less than one year apart from each other, so it'd be impossible for the same woman to give birth to 13 children like that... o_O

Well i think that's the fun part of the storyline to figure out. how all of them are related. i suppose a funny/ werid way to look at it is maybe the mom or dad of the sister have been with certain people all over the world. (just a taught)

Nice picks i love Kaho never give attitude and mamoru athletic ways both add alot of interesting traits to the sister princess series. and i think chikage so popular becuase she's so mysterious. and the cloest to western type girl ( i think she's the oldest of the sisters that may have something to do with it to?) and i have to admit if i was wataru i would not mind being called brother darling.
